Want an active holiday? Or maybe you're running out of ideas for where to go with your kids? Germany is the perfect destination for a family trip! And although it may seem boring at first, we invite you to discover another side of the country!

Visit Berlin, Dresden and the Nuremberg area.

1 The capital and the park in the hangar

Recommended number of days: 1-2

Starting in Lithuania, we travel via Poland to Germany. We recommend a visit to Berlin to start.

Berlin has changed dramatically over the decades, from a city of elegance to a true cultural and attraction centre. It's a mix of fascinating history and modernity, of exciting art galleries and rule-defying street art, of buzzing nightlife and tranquillity in leafy parks! When visiting this city, be sure to visit the city's most famous landmarks - the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, the Berlin Gate and the Cathedral.

After exploring Berlin's landmarks, continue your journey with fun at Tropical Islands, the world's largest water park. Here you can enjoy year-round warmth of 26 degrees in an unusual location - a former hangar.

The park is divided into four areas - "Tropical Village", "Rainforest", "Tropical Sea" and "Bali Lagoon". There is also a single open-air crane - "Amazonia". The water temperature in the 'lagoon' is 32 degrees and in the 'sea' 28 degrees. Inside, of course, it's green and humid - the creators wanted to remind visitors of the island of Bali, Thailand or Borneo. For the children's play area, inspiration was drawn from Cambodia and India. The park is full of water activities - swimming pools, whirlpools, slides, saunas, etc. There are also restaurants, bars, lounges, shops, spas and even mini golf. A favourite activity is a balloon ride to a height of 60 metres, where you can see the whole park.

There is a campsite next to the hangar where you can spend the night and continue your journey.

Start of the 2 Museums Tour in Porsche

Recommended number of days: 1-2

After visiting Berlin and enjoying the water park, start your tour of Germany's car museums. It's no wonder you'll find impressive museums for a number of car brands in this country.

Start your tour at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. By the way, you'll pass Dresden on the way to the next point, so if you have more time, take an extra day to visit this city too.

The Porsche Museum is a real eye-catcher - the impressive futuristic architecture creates a sense of luxury, as befits the brand. With 80 vehicles on display and around 200 additional exhibits, there's plenty to keep you busy. You'll not only see the latest cars, but also the oldest models.

3 See the oldest Mercedes Benz cars

Recommended number of days: 1-2

We recommend that you plan to stay more than one day in Stuttgart, as the museums alone will take a full day, if not two. The Mercedes Benz Museum is one of them, and the modern architecture of the building makes it unmissable. The exhibition covers 120 years of the car's history, with 1,500 models on display, including the famous Pope's car.

4 Europos Parkas

Recommended number of days: 1-2

To make sure you don't have too many museums, spice up your trip with unforgettable adventures! Never heard of Europos Parkas before? Then you must visit - the largest theme park is second only to Disneyland Paris! With something for everyone, from the fearless extremes of height and speed to the more sedate rides, Europos Parkas caters for all ages.

The castle is currently home to a restaurant, and the entire park is home to more than 100 attractions in Adventureland, Minimukes' Kingdom, Brothers Grimm Enchanted Forest and 14 different European-themed zones.

P.S. We recommend you don't overeat before you go.

5 BMW Museum

Recommended number of days: 1-2

After having fun at the adventure park, and as the trip draws to a close, visit the last, but by no means the worst, BMW Car Museum in Munich.

The first museum in Germany that really needs no introduction. This impressive, futuristic museum welcomes all fans of the brand, as well as those who want to learn more about BMW's history, activities and products. You can see one-off BMW models, Formula 1 cars and even a car sold by James Bond.

Don't forget to explore the city of Munich during your visit to the museum.

On the way back to Lithuania, you can stop and visit the city of Nuremberg, the most important industrial city in southern Germany. It's a place bustling with life around the clock, but there's no need to rush, and the locals are quite sedentary.

Nuremberg is often said to reveal a completely different Germany to the rest of the country, so if you're a German fan, it's a must-visit city to see Nuremberg's sights.

If you're planning a longer trip, make sure you visit and have fun in Warsaw on your way to or from Germany. Poland Route Link Here.
